You can easily record your audio using the native voice-memo app on a mobile device (the iOS version is called 'Voice Memos') and exporting it to Google Drive. These steps will let you know how to do this with an iOS device (iPhone, iPod, or iPad):
1. If you haven't already done so, install the free Google Drive app and sign in with your district information.
2. Open 'Voice Memos' and press the big red record button to stop and start your recording.
3. Tap 'Done' to assign a file name for your recording and save it.
4. Tap the name of the recording in the list and then tap the little 'share' icon (it looks like a rectangle with an arrow pointing upwards from it). You will have several options, such as 'Message' and 'Mail'. If you don't see Google Drive among them, tap 'More' and you will see a list of compatible apps. Tap the slider to enable sharing to Google Drive and tap 'Done'.
5. Tap the share icon again and choose 'Google Drive' and then tap 'Upload' from the dialog box that appears.
You might get better audio quality recording your piece on a mobile device in a quiet area. (Pro tip: sound echoes off hard surfaces. You might get good results by sitting in a closet full of coats or clothes to dampen echoes!). Once saved in Google Drive, the recording can easily be uploaded to Vocaroo on a Chromebook or other computer.
